The Punjab government has released a sum of Rs 1 billion to the Punjab police for the procurement of around 29 armored vehicles including G6 and G7 howitzer for security forces, said sources on Wednesday. The sources said that G7 howitzer will be handed over to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and other sensitive departments while the G6 howitzer will be given to the different departments of police.
